Be prepared

Be prepared...isn't that the boy scout's motto or something?

First off, I will say that my absolutely absence from this blog has been due to the fact that I have been seriously slacking on my running this past month. Spring break I went to Virginia, and DC, and then Vegas a week later...naturally, not much running took place during those weeks. Once I came home and got back into it, I did a 17-miler one weekend, and a 21-miler the next. I wish I could say they were easy, but they weren't. After I was done with the 21 miles I laid on my living room floor and cried. (I'm a girl - we are emotional!)

So basically...I should have listened to those boy scouts, or runners world, or any other professional who makes a training plan and suggests you stick with it for optimal results. I am planning on doing 26.2, but I am not expecting it to be easy. Or fun. Or painless. Or completed in less than 4.5 hours. If I was more prepared...perhaps. But I do think I will be able to do it.

I guess we'll see.
